Barbara Thornton has excelled as an executive in human resources for over fifteen years. As Vice President of Human Resources for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc., she was a member of the management team that propelled the company from a private, regional doughnut maker to a publicly traded, international brand. She had responsibility for all human resource functions including training and crisis management, recruiting, and creating systems to support phenomenal growth. She also developed a process that translates corporate strategy and the vision for corporate culture to employees to strengthen relationships and drive results.
She has also served as president, lobbyist, and spokesperson for a professional association for educators. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Education from Campbell University.
