Cherie Hutton is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 20 years of operational depth gained through line experience with all levels of the organization. She has worked globally and brings expertise in strategic planning, sales and leadership effectiveness, change management, organizational alignment, succession planning and culture change.

Experience and Expertise

Cherie has had extensive line experience in key business processes, such as sales and operational planning, strategic planning and implementation, strategic staffing, compensation planning and design, sales effectiveness, management by objectives, customer action planning, organization design and enterprise systems implementation. She brings an integrated and holistic approach to her work and is able to assess necessary changes in people behavior relative to the business requirements to effectively optimize results.

She has received high praise for her employee relations capabilities and her ability to coach and advise leaders and leadership teams in moving organizations forward. Cherie has direct experience in:

  • designing new pay structures and reward systems to support the strategic direction of organizations;
    assessing, developing and aligning needed leadership competencies with future market and industry requirements;
  • identifying staffing gaps and planning for current and future staffing requirements;
  • guiding leadership in introducing a new direction with changing values and changing expectations to employees;
  • supporting the profitability of the business through streamlining HR processes and systems, outsourcing effectively and introducing variable cost structures within an HR organization;
  • identifying, developing and coaching future leaders of the organization; and
  • managing change processes and initiatives to lessen the productivity decline during times of uncertainty.

  

Education, Certifications and Special Training

Cherie has an MBA from Wake Forest University in North Carolina and a BA in English from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, World at Work (formerly the American Compensation Association) and is an active member of several Human Resources professional organizations designed for sharing information, methodology and expertise. She attended the Strategic Human Resources Consortium at Cornell University in 2005, received post-graduate certification in Organizational Development and Change from Heriot-Watt University in the UK in 2007 and is certified by the British Psychological Society in psychometric assessment.
