David Moff, SPHR, CEO
David Moff, SPHR, is Chief Executive Officer of The HR Group, Inc. During his 30-year business career, he was the Senior HR official for three companies that were the market leaders in their industry. These range from a 2200 employee manufacturing facility with union representation to a small 100 employee privately-owned company where he built the HR function from the ground up to a thriving 600 employee company that was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in the Triad.
David possesses expertise in the areas of executive coaching, team building and recruiting. His background also includes teaching HR Fundamentals at the college level. He consulted for two years with a private philanthropic foundation and helped them hire their first President. David achieved the highest professional designation by the Human Resources Certification Institute, Senior Professional in Human Resources. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.
In 2002, the North Carolina State Council recognized David as the Outstanding Professional of the Year for North Carolina. He was named Small Business Person of the year in 2006 by the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Leadership Greensboro.
David has served in numerous positions of the Human Resource Management Association of Greensboro including President. His non-profit Search Committee experience includes: United Way of Greensboro, Family Life Council, Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship, Beth David Synagogue, North Carolina Hillel, Blumenthal Jewish Home for the Aged and the Moses Cone Wesley Long Community Health Foundation.
David has devoted much of his time to community service on the Boards of United Way of Greater Greensboro,Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina,Kids Voting of Guilford County, Greensboro Jewish Federation,GTCC Advisory Board for Adult Basic Education. He has served as President of Jewish Family Services and Beth David Synagogue. He is the current Board Chair of the BJH Foundation for Senior Services. He is a Paul Harris Fellow of the Greensboro Rotary Club.
