Judie retired from the US Air Force in 1998, where she spent fifteen years investigating allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment, and provided diversity, human relations and communication training.

After finishing her doctorate degree in Human & Organizational Systems, she taught business management, human resource and management courses and is currently an HR instructor at Guilford College. Judie has mediation training and a Master’s degree in Human Relations, Organization Development and Technology and teaches online courses in Employment Law and Concepts in Organizational Behavior.
Judie has developed a Certification Study Group for Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification exams.
Certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying, & Bereavement (CT) and author of "Homicide Survivors: Misunderstood Grievers", Judie also teaches courses in grief counseling in the workplace.
