Strategic Management Series

This series is designed to provide developmental experiences for those already in a management / leadership role, yet with a desire to be a more effective leader. By focusing on those skills that will strengthen your abil-ity to guide and influence others, we will help you become a stronger leader. 

Session 1: Leadership Challenge

As a prerequisite to this session you, your manager and a number of your co-workers will be asked to complete the Leadership Practices Inven tory (LPI) 4-6 weeks prior to you attending this session. This will give us time to have the results compiled and ready for review.
In this session, we will be evaluating the results of the Leadership Prac tices Inventory. This will identify the leadership behaviors in which you are strong and those in which you are weak.
We will explore in depth the Five Leadership Practices.

Session 2: Strategic Thinking and Planning
In this session, we will be learning the difference between Creativity and Innovation and how you can introduce both into your workplace.
We will identify methods to utilize your current resources and generate options for strategic thinking and planning.

Session 3: Strategic Decision Making/Problem Solving
In this session you will learn the four crucial elements involved in how de-cisions are made, who makes them, as well as when and where they are made.
You will evaluate the alternatives and options and learn strategies for im-plementing your decisions.

Session 4: Leading Agility/Change
In this session, you will learn to identify the three stages of change and how it effects both the business and the human element.
We will learn key actions that can be used to manage these changes both effectively and efficiently.
