Ruby H. Weathersbee

Ruby H. Weathersbee is President of RHW Consulting. During her 30 year business career, she has been the Senior Human Resources Executive and Safety Director of three companies that were leaders in their industry. These companies ranged from 1,000 employee manufacturing facility to a small 80 employee privately owned company. She developed the H.R. function from the ground up and also the Environmental, Health, and Safety Department and the company grew to become a successful 400 employee company.
Ruby was recognized as the Outstanding Human Resource Professional of the year by the North Carolina Society for Human Resource Management State Council. This was one of the highlights of her career, to be recognized by her peers across North Carolina. She was also awarded the Master Printers of American Donald E Sommer Scholarship, which was geared toward maintaining a non-union workplace. Ten winners were chosen nationally.

Ruby has served as State Director of the NCSHRM State Council and is presently SHRM Foundation Director for North Carolina. She also has served on the SHRM Area II Board as Membership Director. She was President of the Human Resource Management Association of Greensboro and served in most every other position in the organization. She was Chairperson the first year that Greensboro hosted the NC SHRM State Conference and served as Co-Chair 4 years later.
Ruby is an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer, authorized to conduct OSHA 10 and 30 hour General Industry Outreach Training classes.
She is presently a member of the North Carolina Central Piedmont Safety Council. Ruby participated in the Business and Industry Safety and Environmental Conference sponsored by Guilford County Local Emergency Planning Committee, Education and Outreach Committee and was awarded a certificate.
Ruby has extensive experience maintaining and writing Air Quality Permits for a local company. The permits were submitted to North Carolina Department of Environmental, Health, and Natural Resources.
She was a member of the Cooperative Education/Job Placement Advisory Committee at Guilford Technical Community College, served on the local United Way Allocation Board, a member of the Graphic Arts Safety and Health Executive group (GASH), member of Personnel Committee (PICA), and Juvenile Diabetes Committee member for Guilford County.
2004 – 2006 – Board of Directors, Youth Focus, Inc. and member of Community Action Advisory Board for a Guilford County School.
Ruby’s local, state, and national leadership in Human Resource organizations and Safety has been recognized by her colleagues as she continues to contribute to the profession with her Consulting Company.
