William A. "Bill" Caldwell specializes in the compensation field, and is Executive Editor of The Compensation Guide,
a continuously updated handbook that covers multiple topics in the compensation field.
Following military service as carrier-based a jet pilot with the U.S. Navy, Caldwell was responsible for developing and
implementing programs in employment, training and development, compensation, benefits, equal
employment/affirmative action and employee relations for a major corporation for over 25 years During his career he served in various
HR capacities in the banking/finance industry, most notably with NCNB Corporation (now Bank of America) in Charlotte, NC. He has been a Compensation Consultant for the past 16 years.
Caldwell earned a BA Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. As a life member, 9-year Board Member and past national President and Chairman of the Board with American Compensation Association (now known as WorldatWork) he holds both Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designations. He has served on ACA/WorldatWork's Certification Course faculty for over 16 years, where he teaches Base Pay Management, a core course required for the CCP certification.
